Unwind, Relax, and Be Creative
Come along as I learn how to relax during stressful circumstances and simultaneously be creative – colored pencil art. Learn from my successes and failures; research into basic, advanced, and inventive techniques; then stop by for something new and fun to do and learn.
It’s a Full Moon
This has got to be my favorite color-along so far! Anything to do with Halloween, ghosts, the paranormal, I am ready and eager to participate. Let’s kick-off this ghostly graveyard with the moon and the clouds.
The Parrot!! (Pt 2)
We finally get to all the pretty blue colors of the parrot and practice more of our feather technique. Sadly, this is our last day of this color-along. I had so much fun coloring this picture with you. I really hope you enjoyed yourself too!!
The Parrot!! (Pt 1)
We have been waiting for a whole week to start on this beautiful blue and yellow parrot. Although this is a coloring page, we will be referring to an actual picture to make it as realistic as possible. We will be starting on the front half of the bird today and finishing up the blue feathers and the tail tomorrow.
Finishing the Background
Are you ready for the big reveal today? Also today, we will begin to use our colored pencils for the leaves and the trees in the background.
Tropical Parrot in the Jungle
It’s another Happy FunDay! I hope you all had a good week. We are finally back down at our beach home. This all puts me in a tropical, island mood; and what is more fitting to color than a tropical blue and yellow parrot flying through the jungle? The only issue is that backgrounds frighten and intimidate me. I have never really completed a good background successfully. This picture however, needs a background, so we are going to give this one a try and see how it turns out.
